Sana’a University Discusses Organization of Faculties’ Academic Staffing Needs

Sana’a – Sunday, January 25, 2026 (Sha‘ban 6, 1447 Hijri)*
The Academic Needs Committee, mandated by the Sana’a University Council, discussed the actual academic staffing requirements across the university’s faculties.
This came during a meeting held today and chaired by Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Muta’a, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, with the participation of several faculty deans. The meeting was dedicated to reviewing the real academic needs and mechanisms for organizing them in a manner that contributes to the development of the educational process and enhances academic performance efficiency.
The committee emphasized the importance of submitting its findings and recommendations to the University Presidency for review and for taking the appropriate measures, in a way that serves the university’s academic interests.
The discussion of these needs comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to regulate human resources, ensure optimal utilization of academic staff, and enhance the quality of university education in line with institutional quality standards.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mohammed Khasrouf, Director General of Academic Affairs, and Mr. Abdulmalik Al-Hamdani, Director General of Human Resources at the university.
