Sana’a University President Discusses Academic Efficiency and Evaluation Plans at Faculty of Medicine

Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, held an expanded meeting today with the leadership of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences to discuss strategic plans for enhancing academic performance and educational quality.
The meeting, attended by Dr. Abdulhafeedh Thawabeh, the Rector’s Assistant for Medical Colleges, and Faculty Dean Prof. Mohammed Al-Shahari, focused on mechanisms to improve faculty efficiency. Key topics included empowering staff with modern teaching methodologies and developing advanced student assessment tools aligned with international academic standards.
During the session, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti emphasized that faculty development is the cornerstone of educational progress. He stated that the university is entering a new phase of qualitative development, aimed at equipping academic staff with innovative tools to ensure graduates can compete internationally and meet community needs effectively. He further noted that achieving global competitiveness and international accreditation remains a top priority for the university.
In turn, Dean Al-Shahari highlighted the faculty’s commitment to translating these directives into actionable plans. He presented a comprehensive vision for updating teaching strategies and examination systems to keep pace with rapid advancements in the medical field.
The meeting concluded with a set of resolutions, including the urgent submission of an executive proposal to upgrade academic skills, ensuring a significant leap in the quality of medical education in the coming period.
