Academic Council Approves 6 Promotions, 10 Status Adjustments, and Tenure of 8 Faculty Members

The Academic Council of Sana’a University convened its eighth regular meeting for the 1447 AH (2025/2026) academic year today, chaired by Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Mutaa, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, with the participation of council members representing various faculties of the University.
At the outset of the meeting, the Council reviewed the items listed on the agenda and approved the minutes of the previous session following discussion and ratification, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining regular meetings to enhance institutional efficiency and governance.
During the session, the Council approved six academic promotions and ten academic status adjustments. It also approved the tenure of eight faculty members after they fulfilled all required academic and administrative criteria in accordance with the University’s approved regulations and bylaws.
The Council further discussed a number of issues related to the progress of the educational process across several faculties and adopted appropriate decisions aimed at supporting the quality of academic programs and improving overall performance, in alignment with the University’s ongoing development and continuous improvement plans.
