Sana’a – Saturday, 7 March 2026 (18 Ramadan 1447 AH)
The ninth regular meeting of website administrators and social media page managers at Sana’a University approved the launch of the “University Mail” service and the introduction of dedicated contact numbers via the WhatsApp and Telegram applications following the Eid al-Fitr holiday. The initiative comes as part of the university’s media preparations for the upcoming academic year 1448 AH (2026–2027).
The decision was made during a meeting chaired today by Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, the University Rector’s Assistant for Media Affairs. Participants reviewed the media arrangements accompanying the application and admission period, as well as mechanisms to enhance communication with students and parents through the university’s official digital platforms.
Al-Hababi stressed the importance of early and well-organized media preparation for the new academic year to ensure that accurate information is provided to prospective applicants and to facilitate application and admission procedures.
He explained that the “University Mail” service will be activated daily at 4:00 p.m. through a post published on the Facebook pages of the university’s faculties and centers, starting from the first day after the Eid al-Fitr holiday and continuing until the final days of the application and admission period. The service welcomes inquiries from high school graduates wishing to apply for bachelor’s degree programs, as well as from diploma holders seeking admission through the bridging program.
Specific contact numbers will also be provided via WhatsApp and Telegram to receive and respond to inquiries from interested applicants during official working hours only, thereby facilitating communication and providing guidance on admission and application procedures.
The meeting also reviewed the monthly performance reports of the websites and social media pages of the university’s faculties and centers. Participants emphasized the importance of keeping pace with media coverage of the various academic and scientific events and activities held across the faculties and centers, in a way that reflects the university’s dynamic academic environment and strengthens its media and digital presence.
