Sana’a University Graduate Studies Council Holds 9th Meeting and Approves Several Academic Programs and Topics

The Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council at Sana’a University held its ninth regular meeting for the 1447 AH/2025–2026 academic year today, chaired by Dr. Fares Mohammed Al-Qadri, the Vice Rector’s Assistant for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. The meeting was attended by vice deans of faculties for postgraduate studies and representatives of the University’s scientific and research centers.
The Council began its session by reviewing and approving the minutes of the previous meeting before discussing a number of academic matters listed on the agenda.
During the meeting, the Council approved the updated Master’s program in Clinical Pharmacy – Industrial Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy. It also discussed the approval of the list of students registered at the Center for Public Administration (CBA) during the period from 31 January 2023 to 29 November 2025.
The Council further approved the tuition fees for the PhD. program at the University Service Center for Students with Special Needs.
In addition, the Council reviewed several applications for scholarship and extension of scholarship for a number of postgraduate students, as part of the University’s efforts to support academic competencies and encourage scientific research.
The Council also approved the registration of 22 doctoral dissertation titles and 23 Master’s thesis titles and endorsed the results of the viva voce results of 7 PhD. dissertations and 9 Master’s theses.
Furthermore, the Council approved the results of students enrolled in a number of academic programs, including PG diploma programs, level-improvement programs, and the Master’s preparatory program. It also approved a number of internal scholarships for teaching assistants and lecturers to pursue their Master’s and PhD degrees.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Council reaffirmed Sana’a University’s commitment to developing postgraduate programs and advancing the quality of scientific research in a manner that enhances the quality of academic outcomes and contributes to serving the community.
