Sana’a University Rector Tours Faculty of Agriculture’s Labs and Farm Workshops, Emphasizes Need to Enhance Students’ Practical Training

The Rector of Sana’a University, Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, carried out an inspection visit to the laboratories and farm workshops at the Faculty of Agriculture. He was accompanied by Mr. Eskandar Al-Maqaleh, the University’s General Secretary; Mr. Mustafa Shari, Assistant General Secretary; Eng. Abdulghani Al-Tharihi, General Director of Services, in addition to several faculty secretaries. The visit aimed to assess the technical and operational conditions of these facilities and explore ways to better utilize them to strengthen students’ practical learning.
Upon arrival, the Rector was welcomed by Dr. Adel Al-Weshali, Dean of the Faculty; Mr. Mukhtar Al-Shahari, Faculty Secretary; as well as several department heads and technical staff. They outlined the role of laboratories and farm workshops in enhancing students’ practical skills and enabling them to effectively use available equipment and machinery, thereby maximizing both academic and practical outcomes and improving the quality of the educational process within the Faculty.
In his remarks, the Rector stressed the importance of consistently activating these facilities and making full use of them to support the educational process. He noted that this would provide students with valuable opportunities for practical training and help them gain applied experience relevant to their specializations. He also emphasized the need for regular maintenance and preservation of tools and equipment to ensure continued efficiency in serving the faculty’s students.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti further highlighted that the University is committed to advancing both the academic and applied learning environments across all faculties, to prepare competent graduates capable of contributing to community service and supporting agricultural development in Yemen.
