Sana’a University Rector Inspects University Press, Reinforces Importance of Academic Publishing

Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, conducted an inspection visit to Sana’a University Press (SUP). This visit aligns with the university leadership’s ongoing commitment to modernizing facilities and strengthening their role in supporting the educational and research landscape. Prof. Al-Bukaiti was received by Mr. Abdulfattah Al-Khatri, Director General of the SUP, and Engineer Salem Qais, Production Manager, alongside a delegation of senior university officials and technical staff.
During a field tour of the facility’s departments, Prof. Al-Bukaiti reviewed the operational status and maintenance of the printing machinery. He received detailed briefings regarding current production capacities and the technical workflows required to complete academic projects according to established quality standards. The production team provided a comprehensive overview of the publishing cycle—ranging from initial graphic design and layout to final printing, technical processing, and binding—highlighting the facility’s ability to meet the diverse needs of the university community with high efficiency.
In his concluding remarks, the Rector engaged in discussions with management and staff regarding developmental strategies and current production challenges. He commended the team for their efforts in maintaining equipment performance and ensuring operational continuity. Prof. Al-Bukaiti reaffirmed the strategic importance of the University Press as the official entity for publishing academic textbooks, emphasizing its vital role in supporting the educational process and serving the broader university community.
