University Rector Stresses on Adherence to International Academic Standards by Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences

Prof. Al-Kasem Mohammed Abass, the University Rector, headed a meeting of the Academic Accreditation Council at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences today. During the meeting, the Rector commended the Faculty Dean, academic staff, and administrative personnel for their dedicated efforts toward achieving the academic accreditation requirements. He stressed the importance of adhering to international academic standards to ensure the delivery of exceptional education that meets the labor market needs and keeps pace with recent scientific advancements.
Prof. Al-Kasem Abass urged all council members to intensify their efforts and work collaboratively to achieve the desired goals in academic accreditation. The Faculty Dean, Prof. Khalid Al-Khamisi, welcomed the University Rector and underscored the significance of upholding academic accreditation standards to enhance educational quality and advance academic programs.
The meeting addressed several key issues, most notably the evaluation of programs and the proposed mechanisms for meeting accreditation standards. Appropriate decisions were taken regarding these matters.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Huda Al-Amad, the Dean of the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center (ADQAC), Vice Deans of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Saleh Bahaj, the Faculty’s External Accreditation Coordinator.
