Public PhD Viva-Voice Examination of Ms. Rawdha Ali Qassim Aljaboubi
The Public Viva-Voice Examination for the PhD Dissertation hereto entitled: “The Effectiveness of a Program Based on Constructive Learning on Developing Grammatical Thinking and Functional Expression Skills Among First Secondary School Students in the Republic of Yemen”, submitted by Ms. Rawdha Ali Qassim Aljaboubi Department of Arabic Studies (Curricula and Methods of Teaching Arabic Studies) , Faculty of Education –Sana’a, was held on Thursday, 16/03/1446 Hijri corresponding to 29/9/2024. The Viva-Voice Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The study aimed at highlighting the extent of the effectiveness of an educational program based on the five-step constructivist learning model on developing the grammatical thinking and functional expression skills among first secondary school students in the Republic of Yemen.
The study concluded a high effectiveness of the program based on constructive learning on developing the grammatical thinking and functional expression skills among first secondary school students in the Republic of Yemen.
Many recommendations were suggested as: : Directing the attention of Arabic language curriculum designers to the importance of grammatical thinking and functional expression skills and including them in the curricula. Adopting models and strategies based on constructive learning to address weaknesses and shortcomings in teaching grammar and structures, especially with regard to developing grammatical thinking and functional expression skills.
