Sana’a University Council Approves Graduate Lists and New Bridging Program System for Diploma Holders

In its fourth meeting of the 2024/2025 academic year, chaired by Prof. Al-Kasem Mohammed Abass, Sana’a University Council approved the implementation of a bridging program. This equivalence-based program allows students holding two- or three-year diploma certificates from community colleges, health institutes, and technical and vocational schools to continue their higher education and pursue bachelor’s degrees in various disciplines, starting in the upcoming academic year.
The council, convened at the University’s headquarters in the capital, Sana’a, with the presence of vice-rectors, assistants, and deans of faculties, also approved the award of PhD and master’s degrees to twenty students. Additionally, the council ratified the graduate lists from several faculties, including the Faculty of Mass Communication, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Education – Arhab, Faculty of Computer and Information Technology, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Faculty of Sharia and Law, Faculty of Education and Humanities in Khawlan, and Faculty of Commerce and Economics.
During today’s meeting, the council discussed various topics related to academic affairs, graduate studies, research initiatives, and student affairs, making appropriate decisions on each matter. The session began with a review of the previous meeting’s minutes, which were subsequently approved.
