Public PhD Viva-Voice Examination of Mr. Mohammed Naji Ahmed Amuqashi

The Public Viva-Voice Examination for the PhD Dissertation here to entitled: “A suggested Vision for a Virtual University in Yemen Republic to meet the societal needs”, submitted by Mr. Mohammed Naji Ahmed Amuqashi Department of Foundations of Education, Faculty of Education –Sana’a, Sana’a University, was held on Saturday, 02/08/1446 Hijri corresponding to 01/02/2025. The Viva-Voice Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The study aimed at evaluating a suggested vision for a virtual university in Yemen Republic to meet the societal needs.

The study concluded a set of findings as: The degree of the experts’ responses, members of the study sample, on the first axis: societal needs for the virtual university in the Republic of Yemen, was verbally (very high), and with an arithmetic average of (4.43). Also on the second axis: their responses towards the requirements for establishing the virtual university in the Republic of Yemen, came in verbal terms (very high), and with an arithmetic average of (4.45)..

Many recommendations that will help in implementing the suggested vision were suggested as: the necessity of starting the establishment of the virtual university with a governmental support at the highest level, especially from the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research for this type of university and its finance. As well as providing the basic requirements for the transition from traditional education to virtual one, by adopting a strategy formulated at the level of the university and its colleges.

A number of academics, the department head, some researchers, students, interested people, and a number of the candidates’ colleagues and family members attended the viva.

The PhD dissrtation has been examined and is recommended by the Viva-Voice Committee for acceptance and approval. The Candidate was recommended to be awarded the degree of PhD (Foundations of Education)
