Public MA Viva-Voice Examination of Ms. Nora Ahmed Saleh Madhkoor

The Public Viva-Voice Examination for the MA Thesis hereto entitled: ” Agreements and Unilateralism among the Two Imams, Abu Alfath Aldilami and Abi Alhasan Almawrdi through Their Two books  Alburhan (the approval) in the interpretation of Holy Qura’an and And Nukat and Eyoon from Surat Fater to Surat Sad: A comparative Study”, submitted by Ms. Nora Ahmed Saleh Madhkoor Department of Holy Quran and Its Sciences, Faculty of Education –Sana’a, Sana’a University, was held on Saturday, 1/05/1446 Hijri corresponding to 2/11/2024. The Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The study aimed at introducing

1. Presenting the two Immams Abi Alfath Aldailami and Abi Alhasan Almawrdi and their two books.
2. Highlighting the most prominent agreements of these two Immams in the frequent and regular readings and the interpretation of the verses of rulings and the interpretation via the adage and Arabic language.
3. Showing how each one of them is different from the other one in his interpretation.
4. Highlighting the extent of how each of them was affected by his age and environment and reflecting that on his opinions and society.

The study concluded a set of findings as:

The study included 246 issues in total in in the agreement of  both Immams or one of them, Both Immams Almawardi have agreed upon 189 issues, Immam Aldailami has agreed upon on 20 issues alone; Immam Almawardi has agreed upon 46 issues alone. Both the two Immams paid attention to presenting the frequent and the irregular Qura’anic Readings and directing them without any indication that they are frequent and regular.  The two Immams paid attention to the reasons for the revelation of verses. They have agreed in their mention of the reasons for the revelation of verses, although there difference in style. The two Immams in their interpretations depended on the language as one principle of the principles of interpretation.

Many recommendations were suggested as: 1. conducting a scientific study on the significance of apparent interpretation and it weighting among the two imams Abu Alfath Aldilami and Abi Alhasan Almawrdi through their two books Alburhan and Nukat and Eyoon. 2. Conducting a study about interpretation rules among the two imams Abu Alfath Aldilami and Abi Alhasan Almawrdi through their two books Alburhan and Nukat and Eyoon.

.        A number of academics, the department head, some researchers, students, interested people, and a number of the candidates’ colleagues and family members attended the viva.

The MA Thesis has been examined and is recommended by the Viva-Voice Committee for acceptance and approval. The Candidate was recommended to be awarded the degree of Master in Holy Quran and Its Sciences majoring in Tafsir and Holy Quara’an Sciences(Interpretation),, with an overall grade of Excellent 95%.
