Sana’a University’s Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council Holds 7th Meeting

The Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council at Sana’a University held its seventh meeting of the academic year 1446 AH (2024-2025) on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Presided over by Prof. Huda Ali Al-Emad, Assistant Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, the meeting was attended by deputy deans for graduate studies and scientific research from various faculties, and representatives from scientific and research centers.
The council discussed and approved a guide for procedures, conditions, and regulations for preparing master’s theses and doctoral dissertations. It also approved the schedule of tuition fees for graduate programs. Updates and specifications of graduate study plans and academic programs across different faculties and centers were also reviewed.
Furthermore, the council approved the titles of ten doctoral dissertations and thirty master’s theses across various disciplines. Amendments to dissertation and thesis titles, along with supervisory committees, were also endorsed. Results of Viva Voce sessions for 23 master’s theses and one doctoral dissertation were ratified. Additionally, student results for various programs, including PG diplomas, Remedial and improvement programs, and pre-master’s programs, were approved.
The meeting also discussed the allocation of several internal scholarships for teaching assistants and lecturers across various specializations in the university to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees. Scholarships within the inter-university cooperation program among public universities were also approved.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and approved at the start of the session.
