Sana’a University Hosts Inter-University Scientific Competition Including Public and Private Universities

The third scientific inter-university competition for students of public and private universities was launched today at Sana’a University. Organized by the Higher Education Sector of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, in cooperation with Sana’a University the competition sees the participation of 25 public and private universities in the specializations of (Human Medicine – Civil Engineering – Architecture – Therapeutic Nutrition) and will continue for two days.
At the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Hatem Al-Dois, Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, praised Sana’a University’s significant role in achieving an important partnership with universities and the community.
He stressed the importance of holding such distinguished scientific competitions that reflect a clear future vision in paying attention to aspects complementary to the classroom and curriculum. He pointed out that education is not limited to schools but extends to every institution concerned with future generations.
For his part, Prof. Al-Kasim Mohammed Abbas, Sana’a University Rector, indicated the importance of these competitions in honing students’ skills and developing their culture. The University Rector affirmed Sana’a University’s readiness to support such events, which create positive competition among students and achieve excellence.
Then, the competition activities commenced, characterized by enthusiasm and high-level organization. The participating teams demonstrated outstanding performances, reflecting good preparation and commitment. The competition will continue tomorrow, Thursday, and the results will be announced at Martyr Al-Sammad Hall at the Faculty of Dentistry to determine the universities that will achieve the top positions.
The inauguration session was attended by prominent figures from the Ministry’s education and scientific research sector, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Sana’a University, Dr. Abdullah Al-Maswari, and several deans of faculties from the universities participating in the competition.
