Dentists’ Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Stainless-Steel

Crowns Use among Children in Sanaa City, Yemen

The study aims at evaluating dentists’ knowledge, attitude and practice of stainless-steel crowns use among children in Sanaa City-Yemen. It also aims at showing the reasons and obstacles for not using such a material.

The study comes out with some results as follows: The lack of knowledge or training is the main barrier for the use of the hall technique of the Stainless-Steel Crowns. Dentist participants of the study show eagerness and desire to know more information with hands-on training to use such a material. Children’s parents also ignore the importance of the SSC.

The researcher presents a number of recommendations at the end of this Master’s thesis, of which: based on interest of dentist-practitioners participants in this study, more curriculum emphasis on Stainless-Steel crowns is always in need. Enhancing education programs must include information and training on the use of this method.
