Obtained the Master degree with an Excellent average of 95% in the Major of Clinical Orthodontics, from the Department of Orthodontics, Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry and Oral Surgery, Sanaa University,
For her Master’s thesis entitled:
Incidence of Non-Syndromic Cleft Lip and/ or Palate and
Estimated Risk Factors Among Neonates and Children
In Sanaa Capital Municipality
The examining committee consisted of:

Committee Member.
The study aims at determining the incidence of non-syndromic cleft lip and/ or palate and the risk factors associated to their development amongst neonates and children in Sanaa City.
The study comes out with some results as follows: the risk factors are not significantly associated. Limitations include the small number of cases and the missing data on the risk factors in the medical records.
The researcher presents a number of recommendations at the end of this Master’s thesis, of which: further longitudinal prospective studies with many participants and scaled questionnaires are favorably recommended.
Attendees of the viva session were a number of academics, researchers, students of the major, the researcher’s colleagues and some of family members.
