Master’s Degree for Researcher Abeer Ahmed Ahmed from the Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science

Researcher Abeer Ahmed Ahmed Ahmed Al-Washli was awarded a Master’s degree with honors from the Department of Biological Sciences, majoring in Botany (Plant Physiology), Faculty of Science, Sana’a University. Her thesis entitled:
(The Effect of Plant Extracts on the Growth of Some Economic Plants), took place on Thursday, 28-8-1446 AH, corresponding to 27-2-2025 AD.
The discussion and judging committee consisted of:
* Associate Professor Dr. Fatima Ahmed Al-Haddi (supervisor and committee member).
* Dr. Is’har Hassan Khalil internal examiner and committee chairperson
* Dr. Essam Mohammed Aqilan, external examiner.
The thesis aimed to investigate the effect of plant extracts on the germination and growth of economic plants included in the study, namely wheat, barley, and beans.
The thesis illustrated several findings, including that the aqueous plant extracts used in the thesis had a stimulating or inhibitory effect on the growth of the targeted economic plants, depending on the type of plant extract and the concentration used.
The researcher suggested several recommendations, the most important of which was the establishment of a plant research center to become a national center serving all fields of botany.
The discussion was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, interested individuals, and a number of the researcher’s colleagues and family members.
