The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Inaugurates a Veterinary Medical Camp in Bani Al-Harith Directorate, Sana’a Governorate

The first veterinary medical camp for treating livestock was inaugurated today in Bani Al-Harith Directorate. The camp is organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Sana’a University, under the generous patronage of Sana’a University, the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, the local authority, and Bani Al-Harith Multi-Purpose Cooperative Agricultural Association.
At the inauguration, which was attended by the Director-General of the Bani Al-Harith Directorate, Sheikh Hamad bin Rakan Al-Sharif, and the Head of the Association Dr. Sadiq Al-Jadami, the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Abdul-Raouf Al-Shawkani, explained that the camp will provide free treatment services for sick livestock and cattle suffering from weakness, emaciation, worms, nasal bots, and other conditions. Additionally, it will guide farmers on how to deal with such cases.
He pointed out that the camp, will last for 45 days from the 16th of Shawwal to the 30th of Dhu al-Qa’dah, and will be carried out by the the fifth-level students of the faculty as part of their graduation requirements (internship). The students will be distributed into teams under the supervision of faculty members.
Meanwhile, the Head of Bani Al-Harith Multi-Purpose Agricultural Association, Dr. Sadiq Al-Jadami, and the Executive Director of the Association, Mr. Naim Al-Hellali, confirmed that the camp provides free services to farmers and will benefit more than 50 villages in the directorate’s districts. They called on farmers to cooperate with the veterinarians.
