University Rector Highlights Key Role of Research Centers in Agricultural Advancement

Sana’a University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, today visited the university’s Scientific Research Laboratories Center and the Genetic Resources Center, underscoring their vital contributions to agricultural development. He was accompanied by Prof. Zaid Al-Warith, the Rector’s Assistant for Scientific and Research Centers Affairs.
At the Scientific Research Laboratories Center, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti was received by the Director, Dr. Mansour Al-Dhabhani, along with Dr. Mohammed Raweh, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and the Center’s Secretary, Mansour Sa’tar. The Rector toured the laboratories, observing the ongoing work, the newly acquired advanced equipment, and the range of research services offered. He received a comprehensive briefing from the Director on the center’s activities and future research initiatives.
Continuing his tour, the University Rector proceeded to the Genetic Resources Center, where he was welcomed by its Director, Dr. Mohammed Al-Aswadi. The delegation received an overview of the center’s key activities, including the preservation of various plant species and seeds and the specialized scientific services it provides to agricultural researchers and experts.
During his visit, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti commended the significant scientific and research contributions of both centers. He reaffirmed the university’s strong commitment to supporting and further developing these crucial facilities, recognizing their pivotal role in bolstering the agricultural sector and providing essential scientific studies and expertise for sustainable agricultural development nationwide.
