Master’s Degree for Researcher Nuha Noman Qaed in Educational Technology from the Faculty of Education

Researcher Nuha Noman Qaed Alkhawlani has earned a Master’s degree with honors and a grade of 95% from the Faculty of Education, Sana’a University, for her thesis titled “The Effect of Different Teaching Styles Using Computer Simulation Software on Academic Achievement in Biology and Motivation Towards It Among First Year Secondary School Students in the Capital Secretariat – Sana’a”.
The Viva took place on Thursday, Dhu al-Qa’dah 17, 1446 AH, corresponding to May 15, 2025 AD.
The Viva and evaluation committee consisted of:
* Dr. Adel Ali Alwerafi – External Examiner – Ibb University – Chairperson.
* Prof. Yahya Abdurrazaq Qutran – Supervisor – Sana’a University – Member.
* Dr. Ali Abdullah Alsabri – Internal Examiner – Sana’a University – Member.
The study aimed to identify the effect of using individual and collaborative teaching styles using computer simulation software on the academic achievement and motivation towards biology among first year secondary school students.
The study came out with several conclusions, the most important of which are:
* There is a positive effect of both individual and collaborative teaching styles using computer simulation software on academic achievement in biology.
* There is no positive effect of either individual or collaborative teaching styles using computer simulation software on motivation towards biology.
* There is no difference between individual and collaborative teaching styles using computer simulation software on academic achievement and motivation towards biology.
The study recommends the following:
* Biology teachers should use the software that was developed in teaching animal transport topics due to its positive impact on academic achievement.
* Educational authorities should focus on conducting training courses for biology teachers in designing educational software such as computer simulation software.
The discussion was attended by a number of academics, researchers, and interested individuals, as well as colleagues and family of the researcher.
