In his remarks, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti emphasized the critical role that scientific centers play in the University’s academic and research standing, acknowledging their diligent efforts and improved performance in recent phases. “We are committed to simplify procedures for students enrolling at the University,” he said, “while strictly maintaining the standards set forth by the national postgraduate education framework applied across all Yemeni universities, thereby strengthening Sana’a University’s reputation and the academic quality of its graduates.”
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti emphasized the University’s strategic focus on the development of scientific centers. He noted that a dedicated evaluation committee had been established early on, resulting in a detailed report supported by corrective measures and recommendations aimed at addressing gaps and advancing institutional development. He stressed that the evaluation process is intended to enforce quality assurance and ensure strict compliance with academic, financial, administrative, and legal standards, supported by a comprehensive automated database to guide ongoing improvements and through which deficiencies can be addressed according to the highest standards.
The University Rector underscored the significance of the committee’s findings and called for enhanced performance, strict adherence to application and admission protocols for postgraduate programs, in line with existing courses, while simplifying non-essential procedures without compromising the integrity of the SAR system currently in use.
He also encouraged optimal utilization of distinguished staff from the University’s various faculties, ensuring continuous coordination between centers and faculties, and full implementation of the committee’s recommendations through a structured action matrix to be monitored by the assigned evaluation committee.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti praised the commendable efforts made by the centers, noting the significant increase in postgraduate enrollment as a testament to their progress. He reaffirmed that the evaluation process would continue to uphold and elevate the level of centers until they achieve the highest performance standards.
For his part, Prof. Zaid Al-Wareeth commended the University Rector’s ongoing support for the scientific centers and his commitment to strengthening their partnerships with Yemen’s national institutions and enhancing their social contributions as trusted centers of expertise.
