Sana’a University Organizes Volleyball and Table Tennis Tournaments

Under the auspices of the Rector of the University, Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, and the supervision of the Office of the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, the General Directorate of Student Activities at Sana’a University organizes the Volleyball and Table Tennis Championships under the slogan “You Are Not Alone”, coinciding with the annual commemoration of the Prophet’s Birthday (1447 Hijri).

The competitions for the annual “University Cup” for volleyball will take place at the Faculty of Commerce and Economics playground, while the annual “University Cup” for table tennis (for male students) will be held in the Faculty of Languages Hall from August 30th to September 2nd, 2025.

In this context, the Director General of Student Activities and Youth Welfare at the university, Mr. Abdul Qader Al-Ghorbani, explained that the competitions will be between teams from all university faculties and are expected to have wide attendance from the university’s students and academic leadership.

He noted that these championships aim to instill human and religious values in students, develop their athletic skills, and promote a spirit of fair competition among the students. He affirmed that these events are part of Sana’a University’s commitment to linking student activities with religious and national events, embodying its leading role in building student awareness and activating youth potentials in service of the community.
