Teams of Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Physical Education, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Commerce Advance to Volleyball Championship Semifinals

Sana’a – Monday, Septermber 1, 2025.
The teams representing the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Faculty of Physical Education, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Commerce and Economics have secured their places in the semifinals of the Volleyball Championship at Sana’a University. The tournament, organized by the General Administration of Student Activities, is being held alongside the Table Tennis Championship under the slogan “You Are Not Alone.” Both events are sponsored by the University Rector and overseen by the Office of the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, coinciding with the annual commemoration of the Prophet Mohammed’s Birthday (1447 AH).
The annual competitions for the “University Cup” in volleyball and table tennis bring together teams from across the university’s faculties. Volleyball matches are hosted at the Faculty of Commerce and Economics playground, while the men’s table tennis contests took place at the Hall of the Faculty of Languages.
In the quarterfinals, the Faculty of Arts earned its spot in the semifinals after defeating the Faculty of Agriculture in straight sets (2–0). The Faculty of Physical Education followed with a 2–0 victory over the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. The Faculty of Engineering advanced by defeating the Faculty of Computer Sciences with a 2–0 victory, while the Faculty of Commerce completed the lineup with a straight-sets win against the Faculty of Dentistry.
The semifinal and final matches are scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday. The opening semifinal will feature the Faculty of Arts against the Faculty of Physical Education, followed by one between the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Commerce. The two winners will compete for the championship title in the final.
