Ms. Ekhtiar Qasem Ali Gharsan was awarded a Master’s degree in Educational Technology with an average of (Excellent) and a grade of (95%) for her thesis titled: The Effectiveness of Different Sequences of Performance Models Based on Multimedia Software in Developing Quran Recitation and Tajweed Skills among Seventh Grade Students in the Capital Secretariat – Sana’a, which was submitted to the Faculty of Education, Sana’a University. The MA defense was held on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

| 2 | Asst. Prof. Ali Abdullah Al-Sabri | Main Supervisor | Sana’a University | Member |
| 3 | Assoc. Prof. Abdulbasit Saeed Al-Faqih | External Examiner | Taiz University | Member |
The study aimed to examine the effectiveness of varying sequences of performance models, integrated with multimedia software, on enhancing Quran recitation and Tajweed skills among seventh-grade students in the Capital Secretariat–Sana’a. The research sample consisted of 60 students from two schools: Al-Mithaq School (a public school) and Al-Qada Wal-Irada School (a private school). The selected students were divided into two experimental groups.
- The first group that was taught according to the sequence: demonstration – performance model – practice.
- The second group that was taught according to the sequence: performance model – demonstration – practice.
Both groups were assessed through achievement tests and observation checklists, administered before and after the experiment.
The findings revealed that the second experimental group (performance model – demonstration – practice) outperformed the first group in post-test scores and observation outcomes.
Based on the findings, the researcher proposed several recommendations, including:
- Employing multimedia software more effectively in the teaching-learning process.
- Encouraging curriculum designers and educators to focus on preparing and integrating multimedia-based instructional programs.
- Utilizing structured performance model sequences to improve the quality and effectiveness of education.
The defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, and interested participants, colleagues and the researcher’s family members.
