Sana’a University’s Graduate Studies Council Holds 5th Meeting for Academic Year 2025–2026

The Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council at Sana’a University held its fifth meeting for the 2025–2026 academic year on Monday, 27 Jumada Al-Awwal 1447 AH, corresponding to 17 November 2025. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Huda Ali Al-Emad, Assistant Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, with the participation of associate deans of faculties and representatives of scientific and research centers.
During the session, the Council discussed a range of academic and administrative matters, including the approval of updates to the Master’s Program document at the Center for Public Administration and the establishment of competitive criteria for seats allocated to public community colleges. The Council also approved several professional development and non-specialist PG diploma programs across various faculties.
In addition, the Council endorsed the specialized tracks for Master’s and PhD programs in the Faculty of Sharia and Law, the Faculty of Arts, and the Faculty of Agriculture. It also approved new study-abroad scholarships, extensions of scholarship period, and the completion of study-abroad scholarships for a number of sponsored scholars.
Moreover, the Council approved the titles of 16 PhD dissertations and 33 Master’s theses, and ratified the examination and evaluation results of 13 Master’s theses and 9 PhD dissertations from different faculties and centers. It also endorsed amendments to the titles of two PhD dissertations.
Furthermore, the Council approved the results of students enrolled in several programs, including PG diploma programs, professional development tracks, and Master’s preliminary coursework programs. It also approved a number of internal scholarships for teaching assistants and lecturers pursuing Master’s and PhD degrees.
The meeting concluded with a review and approval of the minutes from the previous session.
