University President Visits Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Underscores Importance of Enhancing Academic and Research Quality

Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, conducted an inspection visit today to the Faculty of Arts and Humanities as part of a series of field tours aimed at monitoring the academic environment and assessing the needs of various educational facilities.
The University Rector was received by Prof. Abdulmalik Mohammed Issa, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Ahmed Mutahar, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies; and Mr. Ali Meqdam, Faculty Secretary. The leadership team provided a detailed briefing on the faculty’s most pressing needs, including academic requirements and essential services.
During the tour, which included several laboratories within the Department of Geography and Geoinformatics, the Museum of the Department of Archaeology and Tourism, and the faculty’s gardens, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti emphasized the importance of improving the quality of teaching, academic programs, and research. He stressed that enhancing educational quality is fundamental to strengthening the competitiveness of the university’s graduates both locally and internationally.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti noted that high-quality education can only be achieved by providing a supportive learning environment, ensuring adequate infrastructure, and improving services across faculties. He reaffirmed that the university operates within a strategic framework designed to enhance academic performance and develop the skills of students and researchers.
The University Rector also instructed that the faculty’s essential maintenance needs be addressed promptly and that services contributing to a stimulating academic environment be improved without delay.
In his discussion with the Dean, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti highlighted that the current stage requires intensified efforts to advance academic and research development, strengthen administrative efficiency, and promote greater integration among faculties and centers in alignment with the university’s vision and future goals. He reaffirmed that Sana’a University is committed to comprehensive development and that field visits form a key part of a rigorous monitoring approach aimed at addressing challenges directly and ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality education.
