Master’s Degree Awarded to Ms. Atheer Abdulrazzaq Ghaleb in Educational Technology

Ms. Atheer Abdulrazzaq Ghaleb Qaed was awarded a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology with an average of Excellent and a grade of (95) for her thesis titled: The Effectiveness of a Multimedia Educational Software Program Based on Two Different Learning Strategies in Developing Timeline Reading Skills and Historical Thinking in History among First-Year Secondary Students in the Capital Secretariat – Sana’a, which was submitted to the Department of Educational Technology, Faculty of Education – Sana’a University. The MA defense was held on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The thesis aimed to:
Investigate the effectiveness of a multimedia educational software program, based on two different learning strategies, in developing timeline reading skills and historical thinking in the subject of history among first-year secondary students in the Capital Secretariat–Sana’a.
The study yielded a number of key findings summarized as follows:
The multimedia educational software was effective in significantly improving achievement in timeline reading skills and historical thinking among students in both experimental groups.
The second experimental group, which employed the cooperative learning strategy, achieved better results in developing timeline reading skills and historical thinking.
In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:
Integrating multimedia educational software into the teaching process and periodically evaluating its effectiveness.
Organizing training workshops for teachers focused on designing and implementing educational software.
Implementing cooperative learning activities within history learning environments.
The defense session was attended by a number of professors, researchers, students, colleagues, and the researcher’s family.
