Sana’a University Releases 49th Issue of “Resalat Al-Maktabat” and Announces Its Rebranding as “Sana’a University Newspaper” Starting from Issue (50)

Sana’a University has released the 49th issue of “Risalat Al-Maktabat,” presenting a new edition that highlights a wide range of academic, scientific, and research activities undertaken by the University over the past month. The newspaper continues to serve as a key media platform for documenting the University’s accomplishments and showcasing its academic and institutional presence.
The issue includes comprehensive coverage of the meetings of the University Council and those of specialized academic councils, as well as field visits conducted by the University leadership. It also features reports on postgraduate programs, the accreditation of several new academic programs, and progress on development and infrastructure projects, in addition to updates on scientific research and community service activities.
As part of ongoing media and institutional development efforts, the University Council, at its latest meeting, chaired by Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of the University, approved renaming the newspaper from “Risalat Al-Maktabat” to “Sana’a University Newspaper.” The decision aims to broaden the newspaper’s editorial scope and reinforce its institutional identity, ensuring that it more accurately reflects the diversity and range of the University’s activities and sectors.
The new title will come into effect with the upcoming issue, numbered (50). This step reflects the University leadership’s commitment to advancing its media platforms and aligning with institutional and digital developments, thereby strengthening the University’s visibility at both local and regional levels and supporting its academic and research mission.
This change marks a notable progression in the newspaper’s development, as it has long served as a platform for documenting the University’s events and achievements. The forthcoming issue (50) is expected to usher in a renewed phase with an updated identity that embodies Sana’a University’s status and its pioneering role in higher education and scientific research.
