The Rector of Sana’a University, Prof. Al-Qassim Mohammed Abass, stressed the importance of the scientific conference conducted by the Diagnostic Cardiology Center at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences to help cardiologists in Yemen to perform proper diagnoses using state-of-the-art methods and techniques, so that patients can receive appropriate treatment. In their speeches to the Conference, the University Rector, Prof. Al-Qassim M. Abass, and the Chairman of the Conference, Dr. Taha Al-Maimouni, reviewed the objectives and themes of the conference, which introduce cardiologists working in Yemen to the latest modern methods and techniques of cardiovascular treatment and imaging.
The three-day conference sessions culminated in a discussion of graduation research for the Yemeni fellowship batch in cardiology. About twenty lectures, including online lectures, for more than twenty cardiology professors from various Arab and foreign countries were delivered. Such lectures highlighted cases of difficult and complex operations. Thus, specialists in Yemen can benefit from such cases in the treatment of heart diseases and performing open-heart operations.
A group of professors of medical colleges in Yemeni universities, deans of medical colleges, hospital directors, cardiology centers directors in government and private hospitals, and cardiologists in Yemen attended the conference.
