Sana’a University Rector Inspects Student Hostel and Faculty of Computer’s Expansion Project Ahead of the New Academic Year

Sana’a University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, conducted an inspection visit today to the University Student Hostel Complex and the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology to review the progress of ongoing renovation, equipment, and expansion projects in preparation for the 1448 AH academic year.
During the visit, the Rector toured maintenance and rehabilitation works being carried out at the student housing facilities. The projects include roof and walkway repairs, upgrades to service facilities, landscaping and cleaning works, and various improvements aimed at providing a suitable living environment for students ahead of the new academic year.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti received a briefing from the Director of Student Hostel, Eng. Ayman Murad, on completed works and preparations for welcoming resident students. He also listened to a detailed presentation by the University’s Director General of Projects, Eng. Abdulhakim Shamsan, on the progress of maintenance and renovation activities, including the development of a dedicated student service kitchen and the facilities and services it will provide to enhance student welfare.
As part of the visit, the Rector also inspected construction work on the third-floor expansion project at the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology. He reviewed the implementation progress of the project, which will include modern laboratories and classrooms designed to serve the new departments and academic programs introduced during the previous academic year.
The expansion is expected to strengthen the faculty’s capacity to accommodate continued academic growth while providing an advanced educational and practical learning environment for students.
During the tour, Eng. Shamsan presented a detailed overview of the project’s implementation stages, completion rates, and the remaining works required to finalize the project.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti emphasized the importance of completing all projects according to approved technical specifications and established timelines, noting that these initiatives represent a significant addition to the university’s educational and service infrastructure. He affirmed that the projects will contribute to enhancing the quality of education and providing improved services and facilities for students.
