Nabil Ali M. Sultan
Summary:
Dr. Nabil Ali M. Sultan gained his B.Sc. degree (major: chemistry, minor: biology) at Sana’a university, faculty of sciences, in 1991, and joined this university as a chemistry teaching assistant in 1993. In 1997 he has started his post-graduate studies at the school of chemistry, university of Hyderabad (www.chemistry.uohyd.ac.in) where he earned the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in 1999 and 2005 respectively. His doctoral work was on purification and characterization of some plant lectins (specific carbohydrate-binding proteins of non-immune origin). Since 2006, he has been a faculty member at Sana’a university (faculty of sciences, dept. of chemistry), and he was promoted to Associate Professor in 2012. He has spent a sabbatical year (2011/2012) as a research fellow at the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology, CCMB (www.ccmb.res.in) under TWAS postdoctoral fellowship program.
