Public PhD Viva-Voce Examination of Mr. Abdulrahman Naji Hassan Al-Samawi
The Public Viva-Voce Examination for the PhD Dissertation hereto entitled, The Impact of Organizational Excellence on Quality of Health Services through Strategic Vigilance: A Field Study on Private Hospitals in the Capital City – Sana’a, submitted by Mr. Abdulrahman Naji Hassan Al-Samawi, to the Center of Business Administration, was held on Monday, 06/07/1446 Hijri corresponding to 06/01/2025. The Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The study aimed to investigate the impact of organizational excellence on the quality of healthcare services through strategic vigilance in private hospitals in the Capital City – Sana’a. It also aimed to determine and understand the level of implementation of organizational excellence, the level of quality of healthcare services provided, and the level of implementation of strategic vigilance in private hospitals in the Capital City – Sana’a.
The study reached many conclusions, the most important of which are:
- The level of organizational excellence application in the private hospitals under study was generally at a (high) average level, while the level of healthcare service quality in the private hospitals was generally at a (somewhat high) average level. Meanwhile, the level of strategic vigilance application in private hospitals was generally at a (high) average level.
- The study showed a statistically significant effect of organizational excellence on the quality of health services, a statistically significant effect of strategic vigilance on the quality of health services, a statistically significant effect of organizational excellence on strategic vigilance, and a statistically significant effect of organizational excellence on the quality of health services through strategic vigilance in private hospitals in the capital city of Sana’a.
The study presented many recommendations, the most important of which are:
- Applying the organizational excellence methodology and developing it in hospitals in a way that enhances the quality of health services provided in the private hospitals under study in the capital, Sana’a.
- Reviewing and evaluating all methods used in the quality of health services in a way that contributes to improving them and achieving all the desired goals to gain the trust and satisfaction of beneficiaries.
- Training workers on strategic vigilance methods, including various dimensions that can achieve quality health services according to international standards and criteria.
The PhD dissertation was examined and recommended by the Viva-Voce Committee for acceptance and approval. The Candidate was recommended to be awarded the degree of PhD in Business Administration.
