Master’s Degree Awarded to Mr. Hani Al-Hakimi in Business Administration

Mr. Hani Abdulbaqi Abdo Al-Hakimi was awarded a Master’s degree in business administration with an average of (Excellent) for his thesis titled “The Impact of Digital Transformation on Human Resource Management Practices: A Field Study on Yemeni Islamic Banks Operating in the Capital Secretariat (Sana’a),” which was submitted to the Center of Business Administration for Graduate Studies – Sana’a University. The MA defense was held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, corresponding to Rabi’ alawwal 3, 1447 Hijri.
The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The thesis aimed to identify the impact of digital transformation on human resource management practices in Yemeni Islamic banks within the Capital Secretariat (Sana’a).
The thesis reached the following findings:
- There is a statistically significant positive effect of digital transformation in its various dimensions on human resource management practices in Islamic banks in the Capital Secretariat (Sana’a).
- The level of digital transformation in Islamic banks in the Capital Secretariat (Sana’a) was high across all its dimensions.
- The views of the sample members were consistent regarding the following variables: age, academic qualification, job title, and years of service.
- There were differences in the views of the sample members regarding the level of digital transformation and the level of human resource management practices in Islamic banks in the Capital Secretariat (Sana’a), according to the variables of gender and bank name.
In light of these findings, the study presented a set of recommendations and suggestions, including:
- The need for Yemeni Islamic banks to comprehensively equip and develop their infrastructure to keep pace with digital transformation.
- Strengthening this focus by creating clear plans to ensure the implementation of electronic human resource management practices.
- Concentrating on the development and training of specialized human resources within Yemeni Islamic banks by providing training programs aimed at facilitating rapid adaptation to digital transformations.
- Enhancing digital awareness at all administrative levels in Yemeni Islamic banks.
The thesis was examined and recommended by the Viva-Voce Committee for acceptance and approval. The defense was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, and interested individuals, in addition to the candidate’s colleagues and family members.
