- Significant differences were found in the average responses of the study sample regarding knowledge of their medical condition based on gender, in favor of males.
- No significant differences were found with respect to health practices and adherence to medication across gender and age variables.
- No statistically significant gender-based differences (p ≤ 0.05) were found in the relationship between educational level and health awareness among users of chronic disease medications.
The researcher offered a number of recommendations summarized as follows:
- Organizing awareness-raising seminars for patients with hypertension and diabetes, as well as their families, highlighting associated risk factors, particularly since the symptoms of such diseases are often silent.
- Stressing the importance of regular medical checkups for early detection, and regular follow-up with physicians to prevent disease progression.
- Emphasizing strict adherence to prescribed medication.
