Sana’a University President Meets Applied Medical Sciences Faculty Leadership After Department Restructuring

Sana’a University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, held a meeting this morning with the leadership of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, attended by the Dean, Prof. Khaled Al-Khamisi, following the completion of the restructuring of academic departments and the appointment of new heads and deputies. The meeting comes as part of the university’s efforts to enhance the academic quality and update the faculty’s organizational structure in line with the latest trends in applied medical education.
At the outset of the meeting, the University Rector congratulated the faculty’s leadership and the newly appointed department heads, stressing that the coming phase will require greater coordination to develop academic programs, strengthen scientific research, and promote good governance and transparency across the departments. He also commended the faculty’s ongoing efforts to expand field partnerships and improve practical training environments for students.
The Dean, Prof. Al-Khamisi, outlined key elements of the faculty’s development plan, noting that restructuring the departments and appointing new academic leadership represent an important step toward improving learning outcomes, updating curricula, and upgrading laboratories and training facilities to further enhance students’ practical skills.
The meeting also discussed the main challenges facing the faculty and the needs of the newly formed departments. The university leadership affirmed its commitment to supporting development initiatives and providing the necessary resources to expand clinical training and strengthen research and innovation.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of continuous coordination between the university leadership and the faculty to advance applied medical education and support Sana’a University’s overall vision and goals.
