Sana’a University President Inaugurates Free Charity Medical Camp for Children at Al-Kuwait University Hospital

Sana’a – Tuesday, November 25, 2025 (Jumada Al-Thani 1447 Hijri)*
Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, inaugurated today the Free Charity Medical Camp for Children at Al-Kuwait University Hospital, in the presence of Prof. Abdulhafedh Thawaba, the Rector’s Assistant for Hospital Affairs, and Prof. Abdul Latif Abu Talib, General Manager of Al-Kuwait University Hospital. The camp runs from November 25 to 29, 2025.
The camp aims to provide free medical and therapeutic services for children across several specialties, including endocrinology, pulmonology, cardiology, gastroenterology, urology, hematology, and neonatology. The activities take place under the supervision of a group of professors and consultants in pediatric medicine from the hospital and Sana’a University.
During the inauguration, the University Rector praised the level of organization and the readiness of the medical teams, affirming that the staff of Sana’a University has demonstrated outstanding capability and competence in delivering quality health services despite the prevailing challenges. He also commended Al-Kuwait University Hospital for organizing this camp and other charitable medical initiatives that provide free services to citizens in consideration of their health and living conditions.
For his part, Prof. Abdulhafedh Thawaba stressed that such initiatives embody the societal role of Sana’a University and its health institutions. He noted that the university works to strengthen these activities due to their direct impact on serving citizens and alleviating the medical burden on families in need. He underlined the importance of joint efforts to expand these camps and develop their services to better meet patients’ needs and enhance the quality of care provided.
Meanwhile, Prof. Abdul Latif Abu Talib explained that this camp is an extension of a series of charitable medical camps that have contributed to alleviating the suffering of low-income families by providing free diagnostic and therapeutic services for children in various specializations. He affirmed that the hospital will continue its humanitarian role in serving the community with the support and dedication of its medical and administrative staff.
