Minister of Education and Sana’a University President Evaluate Conditions of “Senan Charitable Student Hostel” and Approve Phased Development Plan

The Minister of Education and Scientific Research, His Excellency Hasan Al-Saadi, together with the Rector of Sana’a University, Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, and the University Rector’s Advisor for Cultural Affairs, Abdul Salam Al-Mutamayez, conducted a field visit to the charitable student residence “Senan Student Hostel” to assess its condition and evaluate the quality of services provided. The visit comes as part of the Ministry’s and the University’s commitment to improving the living environment for university students.
During the visit, the officials inspected the buildings and service facilities and listened to feedback regarding administrative, service-related, and cultural aspects. A comprehensive phased plan was approved aimed at improving service quality and addressing the housing needs in a gradual and systematic manner.
The first phase of the plan includes urgent interventions to improve service infrastructure and enhance the residential environment, in addition to activating cultural and sports activities, following up on the completion and handover of new buildings and their annexes to the housing administration, and addressing challenges related to certain specialties and students in coordination with relevant authorities.
The plan also emphasizes implementing the second phase, which consists of identifying and documenting all housing needs and working to address them, as well as preparing developmental studies that contribute to enhancing service sustainability and improving efficiency.
The Minister of Education and Scientific Research stressed the importance of supporting charitable student housing and prioritizing its development, considering it a key factor in stabilizing the educational process.
In turn, Sana’a University Rector emphasized that the university gives special attention to student housing and will continue field follow-ups and phased implementation to address existing challenges in coordination with concerned entities.
This field visit comes within the broader direction of the Ministry and the University to strengthen on-site oversight and improve the quality of services provided to students, thereby contributing to a stable and well-organized residential environment that supports the educational process.
