Sana’a University Rector Chairs Extraordinary Meeting on Preparations for the 4th National Renewable Energy Conference and Exhibition 2026

Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University and member of the Higher Supervisory Committee for the Fourth National Renewable Energy Conference and Exhibition 2026, chaired an extraordinary meeting of the conference and exhibition committees at the University’s Presidency in Sana’a on Monday, with committee members participating both in person and via video conference.
Opening the meeting, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti welcomed participants and commended the efforts made by the various committees in preparing for the event. He emphasized the importance of maintaining effective coordination among all participating institutions to ensure the successful delivery of the conference and exhibition and the achievement of their scientific and national objectives.
He also praised the achievements of the Third National Renewable Energy Conference and Exhibition, held in 2023, stressing the importance of building on its success to further enhance the organization, participation, and impact of the fourth edition.
The meeting brought together Eng. Ahmed Ismail Al-Mutawakel, Undersecretary of Electricity and Energy for the Electricity Sector and Chairman of the Preparatory Committee; Sheikh Mohammed Salah, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Yemen Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FYCCI), Vice Chairman of Sana’a Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Vice Chairman of the Higher Supervisory Committee; Dr. Ahmed Al-Arashi, Deputy Chairman of the Preparatory Committee and Chairman of the Scientific Committee; Eng. Shaif Mohammed Jarallah, Chairman of the Organizing Committee (via video conference); Mr. Abdullah Al-Raeibi, member of the Higher Supervisory Committee; Eng. Ahmed Hamoud Al-Dawlah, Conference Coordinator and Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee; Dr. Adel Rawei’, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and member of the Scientific Committee; Dr. Rana Saleh, representative of the FYCCI on both the Scientific and Organizing Committees; Dr. Mohammed Raweh, representative of the Faculty of Agriculture at Sana’a University on the Organizing Committee; and Eng. Osama Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, General Director of the Office of the University Rector.
Committee members reviewed the meeting agenda, which included the proposed conference budget, sponsors’ recommendations regarding the event schedule, the possibility of relocating the exhibition venue, and a number of organizational and technical matters related to the conference.
Participants also discussed additional organizational and technical issues via video conference as part of the ongoing preparations to ensure the successful staging of the Fourth National Renewable Energy Conference and Exhibition 2026 at the most appropriate time.
Prior to the meeting, committee members conducted a site visit to the proposed exhibition venue at the Faculty of Agriculture, Sana’a University, where they inspected the facilities and reviewed preparations for hosting the exhibition activities.
