Executive Master’s Degree Awarded to Mr. Jameel Mujahid in Public Administration

Mr. Jameel Rawah Haider Mujahid was awarded an Executive Master’s Degree in Public Administration for his thesis titled: The Role of Oversight Bodies in Combating Corruption: The National Supreme Authority for Combating Corruption as a Model, which was submitted to the Center of Public Administration – Sana’a University. The MA defense was held on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
The MA Viva-voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The study aimed to identify the role of oversight bodies in combating corruption through an examination of the National Supreme Authority for Combating Corruption as a model.
The study yielded several key findings summarized as follows:
There are legal and legislative obstacles that limit the Authority’s ability to perform its duties effectively.
No statistically significant differences were found among the responses of the study participants regarding the fundamental requirements necessary for the Authority to perform its functions and its contributions to combating and preventing corruption.
In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:
Eliminating the overlap and conflict in the roles of oversight bodies responsible for protecting public funds.
Encouraging investigative journalism in corruption-related cases.
Establishing specialized courts to adjudicate corruption cases.
The defense session was attended by academics, researchers, students, and individuals interested in public administration and development issues, along with the researcher’s colleagues and family members.
