Scientific Committee of IDEASET 2026 Reviews Research Readiness and Peer-Review Progress

The Scientific Committee of the First International Conference on Intelligent, Dependable, Emerging, Autonomous, and Sustainable Engineering Technologies (IDEASET 2026) held a virtual meeting on Thursday evening, July 30, 2026, via Google Meet, to review the scientific readiness of the conference, assess the progress of the peer-review process, and discuss preparations for the submitted research papers.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Sharaf Abdulhaq Al-Humdi, Chair of the Scientific Committee. At the outset, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Conference Chair, Dr. Adel Rawae, welcomed the committee members and commended their outstanding scientific and organizational efforts in preparing for the conference. He emphasized that their contributions are instrumental to the success of this international scientific event.
Dr. Rawae expressed his appreciation to the Scientific Committee and all reviewers for their dedication to evaluating the submitted papers with professionalism and rigor. He praised their commitment to maintaining high scientific standards and adhering to the conference schedule, noting that the peer-review process forms the cornerstone of ensuring the quality of accepted papers and achieving the conference’s academic objectives.
During the meeting, Prof. Sharaf Abdulhaq Al-Humdi presented an overview of the conference’s scientific preparations, including the number of papers received, those ready for assignment to reviewers, and the current progress of the peer-review process. He also reviewed the stages of manuscript evaluation completed to date.
Committee members discussed the peer-review framework and the procedures for assigning research papers to reviewers according to their areas of expertise. The discussion also focused on measures to expedite the review process while ensuring strict adherence to internationally recognized principles of scientific quality, objectivity, confidentiality, and fairness. Particular emphasis was placed on ensuring that each submission receives the required number of independent review reports to support accurate and balanced evaluations.
The Scientific Committee also confirmed that the deadline for submitting research papers will close at 12:00 midnight on Friday, July 31, 2026, in accordance with the conference timeline and submission policies. Researchers intending to participate are encouraged to complete the submission of their manuscripts before the official deadline.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the committee reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining close coordination throughout the remaining preparation period and completing the peer-review process efficiently and on schedule. Members emphasized that these efforts will ensure the selection of high-quality research papers that align with the conference themes and meet the standards required for scientific publication.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Abdul Latif Ghallab, Prof. Ammar Al-Zahari, Prof. Bilal Al-Fahaidi, Prof. Ammar Abdulmalik Abdulkarim, Prof. Farouq Al-Fahaidi, Associate Prof. Sameer Al-Serri, Associate Prof. Sami Al-Maqtari, Associate Prof. Yahya Al-Ashmouri, Dr. Bashir Radwan, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Surabi.
