PhD Degree Awarded to Researcher Nawal Al-Rajawi in Information Technology
Researcher Nawal Abdullah Abdullah Ahmed Al-Rajawi was awarded a PhD degree in Information Technology for her dissertation titled: A Hyperledger Fabric Blockchain Model for Securing Electronic Certificates, which was submitted to the Department of Computer and Information Science, Faculty of Computer and Information Technology–Sana’a University. The dissertation defense was held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

The dissertation aimed to develop a model for protecting electronic certificates against forgery through the use of blockchain technology and modern cryptographic algorithms.
The study resulted in the design of a model for securing electronic certificates based on the Hyperledger Fabric blockchain platform and advanced cryptographic algorithms, thereby enhancing the authenticity and trustworthiness of digital certificates while preserving the integrity of their data.
The researcher recommended developing a practical application to implement the proposed model across Yemeni universities in order to protect electronic certificates from forgery and strengthen their security.
The dissertation defense was attended by a number of academics, postgraduate students, researchers, as well as the researcher’s colleagues and family members.
