Sana’a University Rector Opens Second Art Exhibition for Graphics and Multimedia Students, Directs Establishment of Permanent Exhibition and Two New Computer Labs

Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, today inaugurated the Second Art Exhibition for Graphics and Multimedia Students, organized by the University’s Computer Center, entitled “A Land’s Story – A People’s Identity,” with the participation of a number of students from the department. The exhibition forms part of the University’s efforts to promote creative and applied activities and enhance students’ practical skills.
The University Rector toured the exhibition and viewed a diverse collection of artistic and creative works in graphic design, digital drawing, visual arts, and visual identity. He also listened to students explain the concepts behind their works, the stages of their production, and the techniques they used.
Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti commended the artistic and technical quality reflected in the students’ works, stressing the importance of encouraging student talent and linking academic learning with practical application. He noted that such an approach contributes to strengthening students’ skills, preparing them to compete in the fields of design and multimedia to address the demands of the labor market.
The University Rector directed the establishment of a permanent exhibition for Graphics and Multimedia students’ works at the Computer Center, providing a dedicated space to document and showcase their creative work, continuously display their projects, encourage further skill development, and enhance the quality of their output.
He also directed the establishment of two new computer laboratories at the Computer Center to strengthen its educational and training infrastructure, expand laboratory capacity, and provide an enhanced environment for practical training in graphics, multimedia, and digital technologies.
The University Rector was received by Dr. Abdulwadood Annuzaili, Director of the Computer Center; Mr. Abdullah Da’er, Deputy Director of the Center; Mr. Majid Aslan, Head of the Graphics Department; along with a number of the Center’s academic and administrative staff.
The exhibition underscores Sana’a University’s commitment to advancing applied learning, innovation, and student creativity by providing students with practical opportunities to present their work and further develop their skills. It also contributes to improving the quality of educational outcomes and strengthening the connection between academic programs and modern skills and applications related to the needs of the labor market.
