An expanded meeting was held today at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana’a University to discuss mechanisms for strengthening and unifying efforts across the university’s five medical faculties. Chaired by Dr. Abdulhafidh Thawaba, the University Rector’s Assistant for Medical Faculties and Hospitals, the meeting aimed to advance the educational process and elevate performance standards across academic and administrative sectors.
The meeting brought together vice deans for student affairs, along with registrars and administrative secretaries from the five medical faculties. Participants reviewed several proposals designed to foster academic and administrative integration, ensuring a more cohesive approach to medical education.
During the session, Dr. Abdulhafidh Thawaba emphasized that the gathering is part of a broader strategy to enhance synergy among the medical faculties. He noted that unifying visions and efforts is essential for improving the quality of medical education and raising the efficiency of graduates to meet the university’s high institutional standards.
“This meeting represents a significant step toward establishing a framework for joint institutional work,” Dr. Thawaba stated. “It aims to standardize criteria and develop the overall academic and institutional performance within our medical programs.”
The discussions highlighted the importance of coordinating educational activities and programs to optimize available resources. To facilitate this, the meeting concluded with the formation of joint committees representing all five medical faculties. These committees are tasked with studying and coordinating academic and administrative aspects, as well as proposing mechanisms to ensure high-quality performance and institutional development across the university’s medical campus.
