For her Master’s thesis entitled:
Prevalence of Malocclusion Among Selected Group of
Special Health Care Needs Children

The study aims at determining the prevalence of the malocclusion amongst a selected group of special health care needs children in Sanaa city, of whom suffering from intellectual disabilities of both genders such as Down syndrome.
The study comes out with some results as follows: There exists an obvious significant varied malocclusion observed by different syndrome conditions. There is also an important correlation between different types of malocclusions and different of syndrome conditions.
The researcher presents a number of recommendations at the end of this Master’s thesis, of which: there should be a necessity of early-specialized orthodontic evaluations and customized interventions for Special Health Care Needs children. An enhancement in dental health for a positive overall quality of life must see light in favor of such a group of children.
Attendees of the viva session were a number of academics, researchers, students of the major, the researcher’s colleagues and some of family members.
