The Inclusive Development Research Center (IDRC) at Sana’a University organized today an intellectual symposium titled “The Nature of Conflict and Its Intellectual and Civilizational Dimensions: The Historical Background of International Positions.”
The event comes as part of the university’s series of scientific and intellectual seminars held under the theme “Academics Toward Al-Quds,” aimed at promoting intellectual and research awareness of human and civilizational issues in the region.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, affirmed that through these seminars, the university seeks to cultivate critical thinking among academics, researchers, and students, and to encourage analytical studies that contribute to a deeper understanding of the roots of regional and international conflicts. He emphasized that this effort stems from the university’s scientific and research responsibility.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti further noted that the outcomes of these seminars will be integrated into a forthcoming comprehensive scientific conference organized by Sana’a University in cooperation with Yemeni, Arab, and Islamic universities. The conference will discuss intellectual and cultural issues from a scientific and research-based perspective, further strengthening the university’s role as a leading center of knowledge production.
Mr. Abdul Salam Al-Mutamayez, University Rector’s Assistant for Cultural Affairs, stressed that Sana’a University places special importance on intellectual and cultural awareness. He emphasized that scientific research is the most vital tool for building enlightened knowledge capable of addressing contemporary intellectual and cultural challenges.
