Sana’a University Higher Committee for Scientific Research Holds Its 6th Meeting and Approves Scientific Publication Incentives

The Higher Committee for Scientific Research at Sana’a University held its sixth regular meeting today under the chairmanship of the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Chairman of the Committee, Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Mutaa, with the participation of committee members.
At the opening of the meeting, Prof. Al-Mutaa welcomed the members and emphasized the importance of the University’s ongoing commitment to supporting scientific research and encourage faculty members and researchers to pubish papers in internationally indexed scientific journals. He noted that such efforts play a vital role in enhancing the quality of research and strengthening Sana’a University’s standing in regional and international university rankings.
The committee reviewed a number of agenda items, foremost among them applications submitted by faculty members whose research works had been published in scientific journals indexed in the Scopus database. Following its review, the committee approved a number of scientific publication incentives as part of the university’s policy to motivate researchers and encourage high-quality scholarly output, thereby contributing to the university’s performance in international ranking and quality indicators.
The committee also attended a scientific seminar presented by Mohammed Al-Haboob, a student from the Faculty of Dentistry, who discussed his Scopus-indexed research paper entitled “Knowledge and Practice of Dental Professionals Regarding Vertical Teeth Preparation Techniques.” The study examined the knowledge and clinical practices of dental professionals concerning vertical tooth preparation techniques and was presented as part of the evaluation process for his appointment as a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Dentistry.
The meeting concluded with discussions on a number of issues related to the further development of the university’s scientific research system, after which the committee adopted the appropriate decisions and recommendations.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Sam Da’er, a faculty member at the Faculty of Dentistry, who participated as a seminar examiner.
