Sana’a University’s 1st Graduation Projects Exhibition Continues to Attract Visitors on Its Second Day, Earning Official Praise for Student Innovation

The First Exhibition of Research, Applied, and Productive Graduation Projects at Sana’a University continued to attract a large number of visitors for the second consecutive day, drawing widespread interest from government officials, academics, and industry representatives. The exhibition showcases the innovative research and graduation projects of students from the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology, the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, the Faculty of Science, and the Faculty of Petroleum and Natural Resources, highlighting the university’s distinguished academic standing and its commitment to fostering creativity, innovation, and applied research.
During a tour of the exhibition, the Minister of Public Works, Mr. Mohammed Ayash Quhaim, accompanied by the University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, viewed a number of the featured research, applied, and productive projects. They received detailed presentations from students and researchers on the objectives, design, and implementation of their projects, as well as the scientific and technological solutions they offer to address challenges across a wide range of developmental and public service sectors.
The Minister of Public Works commended the outstanding quality of the projects on display, noting that they reflect the advanced academic capabilities of Sana’a University students and demonstrate the university’s success in directing scientific research toward addressing national development priorities. He emphasized that linking higher education outcomes with labor market needs strengthens the university’s contribution to community service and sustainable development.
In separate visits to the exhibition, the Chairman of the General Authority of Zakat, Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nashtan, and the Chairman of the Roads and Bridges Fund, Eng. Nabil Al-Haifi, also praised the scientific quality and creativity demonstrated in the graduation projects. They highlighted the innovative ideas presented by the students, describing many of the projects as highly promising and capable of further development and practical implementation. They also stressed the importance of supporting young innovators and providing an enabling environment that transforms their ideas into productive initiatives capable of contributing to national development and economic growth.
The three-day exhibition aims to showcase the creativity and research achievements of Sana’a University students, promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, and strengthen partnerships with government institutions, private-sector organizations, and potential investors to support the commercialization of outstanding graduation projects and maximize their societal and economic impact.
The exhibition features more than 103 research, applied, and productive projects spanning a broad range of disciplines, including engineering, computer and information technology, science, petroleum and natural resources, and agriculture, food, and environmental sciences, reflecting the diversity of the university’s academic programs and the growing strength of its research and innovation ecosystem.
