Sana’a University’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Celebrates the Prophet Mohammed’s Birth and Honors Top Students

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Sana’a University, in cooperation with the University Student Forum, organized today a cultural and commemorative event marking the anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed’s birth (al-Mawlid al-Nabawi al-Sharif), with the participation of University Rector Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti; Dr. Abdulraqeb Al-Shami, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; Mr. Abdulkareem Atef; faculty members; and newly admitted students.
The event is part of the cultural and student activities organized by the University’s faculties to promote student engagement in university life and support activities that complement the educational process.
In his address, the University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, stressed the importance of commemorating the anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed’s birth and reflecting on the values and principles embodied in the life and teachings of the Noble Prophet. He also underscored the role of young people and university students in pursuing knowledge and contributing to community service.
For his part, Dr. Abdulraqeb Al-Shami, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, welcomed the attendees and highlighted the significance of the occasion and the values and meanings it represents. He also emphasized the role of university activities in broadening students’ cultural awareness.
In his address, Mr. Abdulkareem Atef discussed various aspects of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth anniversary, highlighting elements of the Prophet’s biography, conduct, and the values and lessons embodied therein.
Mr. Mujahed Al-Rajihi, member of the University Student Forum, likewise emphasized the importance of commemorating the occasion and drawing inspiration from the values and principles reflected in the Prophet’s biography. He also highlighted the contribution of student activities and events to strengthening students’ participation in university life.
The event featured a range of nasheed operettas and performances, including an operetta performed by the Ansar Allah Troupe and a poem delivered by poet Ahmed Al-Junaid addressing aspects of the Prophet’s biography and the significance of the occasion.
The event concluded with the honoring of the Faculty’s top-performing and outstanding students, recognizing their academic excellence and encouraging them to continue their pursuit of academic achievement and excellence.
The event forms part of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine’s ongoing activities aimed at fostering a supportive university environment and encouraging students to actively participate in cultural and extracurricular activities alongside their academic pursuits.
