Sana’a University’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities Celebrates the Prophet Mohammed’s Birth, Honors Top Students, and Welcomes Freshers

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, in cooperation with the University Student Forum, held today a cultural and commemorative event marking the anniversary of the Prophet Mohammed’s birth (al-Mawlid al-Nabawi al-Sharif). The event also welcomed newly admitted students and honored top-performing students across the Faculty’s various academic programs and levels.
In his address, Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti highlighted the significance of the occasion as an opportunity to reflect on the moral and academic values embodied in the life and teachings of the Prophet, while emphasizing the importance of knowledge and learning. He underscored the University’s commitment to providing a stimulating educational environment, supporting students, and encouraging them to pursue excellence, achievement, and active participation in university life.
For his part, Prof. Abdulmalik Mohammed Issa, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, welcomed the attendees and newly admitted students, reaffirming the Faculty’s commitment to providing an appropriate academic environment, supporting students throughout their educational journey, and promoting the values of knowledge, ethics, and learning.
A representative of the University Student Forum also delivered an address highlighting the significance of the occasion and its role in reinforcing educational and moral values. A student from the Faculty recited a poem expressing the status of the Noble Prophet Mohammed and the importance of following his example.
The event was attended by Dr. Khaled Al-Emad, member of the Shura Council; Prof. Zaid Al-Wareeth, the Rector’s Assistant for Centers Affairs; the Faculty Dean and Vice Deans; heads of academic departments; faculty and administrative staff; students; and several family members of the honored students.
As part of the event, the Faculty welcomed its newly admitted male and female students and introduced them to the Faculty, its academic departments, and its programs, helping them familiarize themselves with the university environment, academic requirements, and opportunities for integration into university life.
The event concluded with the honoring of the Faculty’s top-performing students across its various academic programs and levels, in recognition of their academic excellence and as an encouragement to continue their pursuit of academic achievement and excellence.
The event forms part of the cultural and student activities organized by Sana’a University and its faculties to strengthen student engagement, support students throughout their academic journey, and promote excellence and achievement alongside the University’s educational and research activities.
