Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Sana’a University Celebrates Prophet Mohammed’s Birthday and Honors Outstanding and Top-Performing Students

The University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, emphasized that commemorating the Prophet Mohammed’s birthday provides an opportunity to reflect on the noble values embodied by the Prophet, particularly knowledge, ethics, compassion, and responsibility. He also praised the role of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences in preparing qualified healthcare professionals and advancing the quality of education and academic training.
The Rector made the remarks today during a commemorative event organized by the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Sana’a University to mark the Prophet Mohammed’s birthday. The event was held at Jaber Hall at the Faculty of Medicine and attended by the Dean of the Faculty, vice deans, faculty members, administrative and technical staff, and male and female students.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti commended the efforts of the faculty leadership, academic staff, and students to develop the educational process and enhance academic performance. He stressed the importance of continuing efforts to improve the quality of educational and professional training programs in order to prepare qualified healthcare professionals capable of serving society and contributing to the development of the health sector.
In turn, the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Prof. Khaled Al-Khamesy, welcomed the attendees and noted that the occasion provides an opportunity to draw inspiration from prophetic values in academic and professional life and to strengthen students’ ethical and professional responsibility as future healthcare practitioners.
He emphasized that preparing medical and healthcare professionals involves more than providing them with knowledge and professional skills; it also requires developing well-rounded individuals who uphold humanitarian and ethical values, thereby enhancing the quality of professional practice and their ability to serve patients and society.
The celebration also featured remarks by the University Student Forum (USF), highlighting the importance of fostering cooperation and a sense of belonging to the faculty and encouraging students to pursue academic excellence and make the most of their university experience in building successful professional futures.
The program included religious chants and devotional performances reflecting the spiritual character of the occasion, with enthusiastic participation from attendees.
At the conclusion of the event, the University Rector, the Faculty Dean, and department heads honored outstanding and top-performing students from various academic levels and programs in recognition of their academic achievements and dedication, and to encourage them to continue pursuing excellence.
The faculty leadership affirmed that honoring high-achieving students forms part of its commitment to promoting academic excellence and motivating students to develop their scientific and professional capabilities. Such efforts, it noted, contribute to improving the quality of educational outcomes and supplying the labor market and healthcare sector with highly qualified professionals.
